The terms “longitudinal test” and “transverse test” are used only in material specifications for wrought products and are not applicable to castings. When such reference is made to
a test coupon or test specimen, the following definitions apply:
"종방향 시험" 및 "횡방향 시험"이란 용어는 단련 제품의 재료 규격에서만 사용되고 주조품에는 적용되지 않는다.
이러한 관련 기준이 시험재나 시험편에 시행될 경우에는 다음의 정의를 적용한다.
1.Longitudinal Test, unless specifically defined otherwise, signifies that the lengthwise axis of the specimen is parallel to the direction of the greatest extension of the steel during rolling or forging.
별도로 명확하게 규정하지 않을 경우, 종방향 시험은 압연 또는 단조하는 동안 나타난 강의 최대 연신 방향에 시험편의 장축이 평행하는것을 뜻한다.
2. Transverse Test, unless specifically defined otherwise, signifies that the lengthwise axis of the specimen is at right angles to the direction of the greatest extension of the steel during rolling or forging.
별도록 명확하게 규정하지 않을 경우, 횡방향 시험은 압연 또는 단조하는 동안 시험편의 긴축이 강의 최대 신장방향에 직각인 것을 뜻한다.
The terms “radial test” and “tangential test” are used in material specifications for some wrought circular products and are not applicable to castings. When such reference is made to
a test coupon or test specimen, the following definitions apply:
"방사방향 시험" 및 "접선방향 시험"이란 용어는 단련 원형 제품의 재료규격에서만 사용되고 주조품에는 적용되지 않는다. 이러한 관련 기준이 시험재나 시험편에 시행될 경우에는 다음의 정의를 사용한다.
1. Radial Test, unless specifically defined otherwise, signifies that the lengthwise axis of the specimen is perpendicular to the axis of the product and coincident with one of the
radii of a circle drawn with a point on the axis of the product as a center.
별도로 명확하게 규정하지 않을 경우, 방사방향 시험은 시험편의 장축이 제품의 축방향에 수직이며, 제품축의 중심점에서 원의 반지름쪽으로 그은 선과 일치하는 방향이다.
2. Tangential Test, unless specifically defined otherwise, signifies that the lengthwise axis of the specimen is perpendicular to a plane containing the axis of the product and tangent
to a circle drawn with a point on the axis of the product as a center.
별도로 명확하게 규정하지 않을 경우, 접선방향 시험은 시험편의 긴 축이 제품의 축을 포함하는 평면에 수직이며 제품 축의 중심점에서 그은 원에 접하는 방향이다.
