Corrosion Test

Corrosion test is a test method for evaluating the corrosion resistance of the metallic material and It can be expected corrosion rate of product by exposing the test piece in various environments, such as acid, alkali.
You can confirm respect to effect of Solution treatment of austenite stainless steel, and extra-low carbon and stabilized grade (added Nb, Ti, and so forth) through the intergranular corrosion test.

Pitting corrosion test is a test for determining pitting resistance of the stainless steel in the chloride environment, It is a form of corrosion starting from the small hole formed in a very locally on the surface of the product, this corrosion is extremely developed downwards along the vertical direction from the top of the horizontal surface.

Pipeline and pressure vessel steel causes Hydrogen Induced Cracking(HIC) that crack propagation along the rolling direction caused by the hydrogen penetration into the steel in wet Hydrogen Sulfide environment(H2S).

The structures or facilities for handling crude oil and various petroleum products mainly be caused by stress corrosion cracking in H2S environments that included in oil or LPG. This is referred to as Sulfide Stress Corrosion (SSC).
